Mamdani Ally Leaks Plans To Convert Trump Tower into Homeless Shelter.

New York’s new mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has announced plans for a state-run luxury rehabilitation compound for homeless and addicted veterans — turning the relics of capitalist greed into centers of recovery, work, and collective renewal.

The project, known as the Veterans’ Rebirth Compound, would combine housing, physical training, and political education to help veterans rebuild their lives through discipline, purpose, and solidarity. Empty hotels and abandoned corporate properties are being considered for conversion.

Early candidates include veterans like Porter, who’s lived under the BQE since 2019 after losing access to VA care; Cruz, an Iraq War veteran now collecting cans across the Bronx; and Morris, a former Air Force mechanic struggling with PTSD and eviction.

Inside the compound, residents would follow a structured daily routine — morning exercise, collective meals, study sessions, and skilled labor training — ending each day with group reflection and planning. Graduates would be placed in city cooperatives and social service programs, rejoining the workforce with dignity.

Critics from Wall Street and the real estate press call the plan “utopian.” Supporters call it the moral turning point of the century. Mamdani’s allies describe it as the first attempt to transform abandoned soldiers of empire into builders of a people’s New York.

As one aide told Pamphlets,

“We’re not saving them — we’re inviting them to join the struggle for a new society.”

Losing VA benefits? How does one lose their VA benefits. Smells like BS to me.

Seriously unconstitutional. They can buy it from Trump at market price, but they cannot confiscqte the building. The courts will stop this action. This is the problem with a narcissist who does not understand or believe in constitutional law.

The photo isn't of Trump Tower either, but of the Trump International Hotel on Columbus Circle.
